Home On The Coast

Picture this:

Small coastal town. Bordered by a river, the ocean, a major highway and a winding two-lane road.

My home.

Where I've lived for over three years.

A place I've come to love, despite:

frequent, sudden, gut-jarring rev-ups from inconsiderate motorists

red-flashing-lights and toe-curling sirens from firetrucks hotfooting it down the road from the fire station

bumper-to-bumper traffic during "the season"

hot, hot days that drench you with sweat starting about 7 am in the summer

my neighbors

A place I love, because:

the ocean

the breezes

the smell of the river at low tide

the "swish" of the waves

the solitude of winter at the coast

sunrise

sunset

rainy days

sunny days

my neighbors

Come explore my new home with me in this blog.
